ABOUT THIS VEHICLE WARRANTY
As a valid customer, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to our Anthony Lahood Motors Warranty (ALMW), which is designed to give you peace of mind.
The purpose of this booklet is to describe our ALMW for you. We have prepared this document in a simple and straightforward format to make it easier for you to understand what is covered and what is not covered.
Please take the time to read the guidelines and information in this booklet, which explains the valuable additional protection this ALMW provides you, subject to the limits and guidelines contained within.
This ALMW is not a contract of insurance, nor are we insurers. It is not associated with any motor vehicle manufacture nor is it an extension of a warranty provided by any manufacturer. It is also not an extension of our statutory warranty obligations. It is a vehicle warranty supplied by Anthony Lahood Motors, ABN 45112 778 319 in respect of the vehicle we have sold you and is incidental to the purchase of the vehicle.
WHEN AM I COVERED?
When your cover starts
The conditions of your ALMW contract commence at the Delivery Date.
When your cover ends
Cover will cease on the first to occur of:
- At midnight on the date 36 months after the Delivery Date; or
- Your vehicle has travelled in excess of 60,000 kilometres from the date you purchased the vehicle from us; or
- The maximum cover limit is reached; or
- You have sold or no longer have possession of your vehicle
WHAT ARE YOU COVERED AGAINST
This ALMW is designed to provide you with cover against sudden and unforeseen failure of certain parts or components of your vehicle for the first 3 years of ownership.
Anthony Lahood Motors will pay the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing any of the parts or components of your vehicle using a similar kind and/or quality within the limits of the ALMW. In repairing your vehicle, we will, at our choice and discretion, choose whether the faulty part or component be either repaired or replaced.
This warranty only covers those parts and components listed in the Schedule of Covered Parts and does NOT cover oil leaks, water leaks, normal wear and tear relative to the age and kilometres travelled, all service/maintenance items, consumables and any loss or damage occurring from overheating, lack of oil and any consequential loss or damage (including personal injury) arising out of failure of any part or components of the vehicle.
If we are unable to perform the repair and replacement of the warranted part/s or component/s, we may, at our sole discretion, authorize you to have the repairs done by an authorized repairer and reimburse you for the costs of the repair or replacement directly.
Schedule of covered parts
Engine (Repair Limit up to $1,000 per repair):
All internally lubricated parts as listed: Pistons, piston rings and gudgeon pins, cylinder head(s), crankshaft bearings, timing gears and chain, valve springs, oil pumps, push roads, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, hydraulic lifters, starter ring gear and auto drive plate, distributor drive, fly wheel.
Engine blocks and cylinder bores are covered if repair is required because of the failure of a covered part.
Excluded from this cover if the failure is due to overheating: Cylinder head(s), engine block, cylinder liners, warped or cracked head(s) or blown head gaskets.
Transfer and transmission case (automatic and manual) (Repair limit up to $1,000 per repair)
All internally lubricated parts as listed: All gears, bearings, bushes, O-rings, oil pump, servo unit and torque converter, valves and valve body, synchromesh assembly, selector shafts and forks, accumulators, clutch and band assemblies, over drive clutch pressure switch. The transmission case and torque converter cases are covered if repair is required because of the failure of a covered part.
Differential (Repair limit up to $1,000 per repair)
Includes crown wheel and pinion assembly, spider gears and pins.
Excludes from cover: axels and bearings, gaskets and seals, external oil leaks, friction materials, universal joints and damage of differential housing, unless caused by failure of an internal covered component
Front wheel drive or 4-wheel drive assembly: includes crown wheel and pinion assembly, spider gears and pins, all internally lubricated parts in the transfer case, hubs, front differential, pinion gear and crown wheel but does not include axles and bearings, gaskets and seals, external oil leaks friction materials, universal joints seals, gaskets, rubber boots and bearings and damage of differential housing unless caused by failure of an internal covered components.
Cooling system (Repair Limit up to $350 per repair)
Radiator, water pump and thermostat but excludes any repair to the thermostat housing or any corrosion, cleaning and blockages of the radiator.
Breaking System (Repair Limit up to $350 per repair)
Master cylinder, wheel cylinder, calipers and hydraulic lines. Excludes from cover: Vacuum boosters, power brake pressure limiter and proportioning valve, brake pads or lining, service items and disc rotors
Electrical System (Repair Limit up to $350 per repair)
Starter motor and starter solenoid, alternator and front windscreen wiper motor
Fuel System (Repair limit up to $350 per repair)
Fuel pumps, fuel injectors pump (petrol and diesel) and pressure regulator. Excluded from cover: Cleaning and servicing calibration.
Steering System (Repair Limit up to $350 per repair)
All internally lubricated parts contained within the steering box including: Power steering pump, steering rack, idler arm, pitman arms and tie rod ends. Excluded from cover: Flexible hoses
Front Suspension (Repair Limit up to $350 per repair)
Control arms, radius rod bushes, top and bottom ball joints, wheel bearing and stub axis.
*Any replacement component will be of a similar kind and/or quality
WHAT IS THE LIMIT OF OUR LIABILTY TO YOU:
The ALMW that we provided as part of the purchase of your vehicle is limited in nature.
The total monetary limit per repair shall not exceed the Repair Limit disclosed next to each of the various component types under the Schedule of Covered Parts.
There is no limit to the number of repairs subject to this warranty. However, we will only pay once for the replacement of any covered part. Parts specifically covered by this warranty are limited to those detailed in the Schedule of Covered Parts.
Regardless of the number of repairs made, the maximum amount payable by us under this warranty is limited to $1,500
All repair limits are the GST inclusive cost of the repairs
Refer to “When your cover ends” to understand when cover will cease. Once cover ceases, so does any liability under this warranty.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- This is a mechanical breakdown warranty for used vehicles. Therefore, a part may be worn but still be quite safe and serviceable;
- We shall not be liable or held responsible for any damage occurring if the vehicle is left unattended or being towed;
- We shall not be held responsible for any delays due to lack or supply of parts or any materials needed to complete any work undertaken;
- At all times the odometer must work. Any failure with the odometer may render your repair invalid
